Editorial policy

How we research and write cruise guides.

Our goal is simple: answer real cruise planning questions clearly, accurately and in a way that helps readers make better decisions.

People-first cruise advice

Every guide should have one clear search intent, a direct answer near the top, practical examples, useful comparison tables and a final recommendation where that helps the reader decide.

Accuracy and updates

Cruise prices, drinks packages, gratuities, Wi-Fi, parking, itineraries, ship deployments and entry rules can change. Where a page depends on current details, we aim to check official cruise line, port or partner sources and update the page date when meaningful changes are made.

Experience and limitations

We do not pretend to have sailed every ship or tested every product. Where advice is based on research, published cruise line information, port guidance or comparison rather than first-hand experience, the page should stay factual and avoid fake personal claims.

Affiliate links

The Cruise Atlas may earn commission from affiliate links at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not decide our editorial verdicts. We include commercial links only where they fit the page topic and may help with planning, booking, packing, excursions or travel logistics.

Corrections

If you spot something that looks outdated or incorrect, email hello@thecruiseatlas.com. Cruise information moves quickly, and useful corrections help make the site better.
